Information notice on geolocation
This notice informs field representatives about the use of geolocation in the REX application, in accordance with Article 88 GDPR and supervisory-authority guidance on employee geolocation.
What is collected
REX records a one-off position only when a visit starts and ends. This is not permanent tracking: the app collects no position in the background.
Only one current position is kept per user (updated, not continuously logged).
Purpose
To confirm that field visits took place, plan routes, and give managers a view of the day's activity.
What is not done
No continuous location, no tracking outside visits, no permanent monitoring of the employee.
Retention
The current position is overwritten at each new visit. Positions attached to reports are kept as long as necessary for activity tracking, then archived or deleted.
Your rights
You may request access to your location data, its rectification, or object to processing on legitimate grounds. Geolocation can also be disabled at the agency level by the administrator.
